Weekend Östersund

Östersund is a town for all the seasons of the year. The last few winter seasons various world championships have been staged here, such as FIS Alpine World Championships 2007 in Åre, World Enduro Championships in Östersund, WSA Word Sled Dog Championships in nearby Åsarna and EBU World Biathlon Championships in Östersund. The latter was held at Östersunds Skidstadion, a mere 15-minute walk from Clarion Hotel Grand.

We are always proud to describe our great cross-country tracks, the fabulous trip skating course and the downhill piste centrally located. We are just as happy to describe our two golf courses with views of the mountains, to talk about the outdoor museum Jamtli, the art exhibitions at Färgfabriken Norr, the adventure pools at Storsjöbadet and Frösö Zoo. Not to mention shopping, starting just outside the hotel doors.
